I'm getting my legs waxed today. I've had to grow them out for 6 weeks!!! I can't wait for this to be done with so I have smooth legs... Yay! So excited!

My Piece of the Plate

Rebecca sent me my piece of the plate. It's a segulah or omen for me to find my soulmate. Instead of throwing out the bouquet at the wedding the mother's of the bride and groom broke a plate together. "The breaking of the plate is irreverisble, symbolizing that the couple's commitment to each other should be should be irreversible and eternal. The pieces of the plate are then given to unwed guests as an omen for them to find their soulmate" (The wedding paper). It's a different take on the bouquet and garter. I like it, I think I'll frame it or something....

Guinea Pig Sitting

I'm taking care of Ernie the Amazing Guinea Pig. He's death defying attitude has got to be seen to be believed. He's 7.5 years old, that's about 100 in human years. I don't know that for sure but the average guinea pig's life span is anywere from 5-7 to 4-8 years... he's an old man! I'll post a pic of him later today. :)

Two Years...

Has it really been 2 years? It's flown past quickly. I've been single for the past two years as well. Two years ago, I was just getting over a breakup with a man I thought I was going to marry. Looking back on it I realize that I was settling for something that was just not me. I'm very happy now. I don't have to answer to anyone, I don't have to share my home with anyone, I get to deal with only my bullshit. It's refreshing to know that if I remain single for the rest of my life, I would be okay with that. I'm really okay with being by myself.

I'm trying to go to sleep but I can't. I keep thinking about what the future will bring me. It's amazing how your life path changes so quickly.

Reading corner

Currently I am reading "Love in the Time of Cholera" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez and "cut" by Patricia McCormick.

If I read 17 pages a day of LitToC then I will be able to finish it by the time it's due back to the library.

Today is day one. 17 pages down so far, and I'm going to read a little bit more.

As far as "cut" I have 118 pages left. Should be done by the week's end.

Both books are very good. I would recommend them to anyone.

3 day weekend

I spent the first two days of my three day weekend up in the F-L-G. It was refreshing to get away and spend sometime with lost friends. I went shoe shopping with Nickie and got a new pair of sneakers. Woohoo! Shox! Then we went to Bdubs and got some bar food and a big beer. Then we passed out on the couch watching SNL. The Douchebag Awards 2007 was the last thing I remember. Oh well! Sunday we went shopping, made breakfast, and then I hung out with Alex. I need to go up to Flag more often and hang out. I miss the cold and my good friends.

Move Out

Move out day is slowly approaching. Everyone keeps asking me if I want to move in with KT and Whitney, or if it's a good idea. I've already signed the lease. They moved in, in April because they couldn't wait for my lease to go out. Who knows if it's a good idea, all I know is that it will be interesting at least.

Home at last!

It feels so good to be home at last. I got home from my cross country journey on the 4th and then proceeded to house sit. The fourth of July we went down and watched a band play at Trax in Tempe and watched the fireworks. Saw a guy that I have a crush on and everyone is pressuring me to talk to him. So I'm done with it. The crush has passed. It's over. I have better things to do then be pressured into doing something that I don't want to do. Oh well.

The Journey Begins...

Today Monica and I head out for Delaware. We're driving cross country because she got a new job in Delaware. Today's goal... Albuquerque. She's left Yuma already and I'm finishing packing and laundry.

Cross country road trip here we come.

Memorial Day Weekend

The start off to a beautiful drunken weekend. Capital Down last night... the drummer is a fricken hottie! Good cover band though.

Monday, golf and a peel.

Well, school is officially finished for the year. Graduation was tonight. All done.

Tonight, KT, Swit and I are hitting Metalhead and we're hitting it hard.

One more day of work and then it's summer break!

Grandma passed peacefully on Monday, May 14th.
